Phone Wallpaper with Fall Scene and Bible Verse

Table top with lighted candle stick and fall squash, electric piano in the background.

Happy fall, y’all!

Since we live in a tropical environment, I don’t get to see pumpkins on front porches or leaves changing colors, but I can create little things around me that remind me of autumn.

This past week I swapped out our throw pillow covers for fallish ones. I set out a maple leaf-shaped spoon rest next to the stove, and lit a pumpkin-smelling candle. Fall was almost in the air.

Recently, I have been working on controlling my tongue. At church a few weeks back, the pastor shared how the tongue has the power to build or destroy. He also said that taming the tongue was the highest form of maturity. That hit me hard. I can think of people I admire or respect, and I really feel like they have control over their tongues.

For whatever reason, this is something super hard for me. I need Jesus to help me. A friend shared how she put Scripture on her phone lock screen, and it helped her to see it throughout the day and be reminded of God’s truth. I was inspired and created a new wallpaper for my phone today. I currently have an iPhone, but I would love for this creation to work on other phones as well. Hopefully, having this verse pop up often throughout my day will help remind me too.

James 1:19-20 NIV

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

Feel free to save this image and upload it to your phone wallpaper.

Tree lined street with leaves the color of fall. James 1:19b Bible Verse with cool font.

What are you doing to usher in the changing of seasons? I’d love to know.
