About

Lady on Tarmac at airport with airplanes all around.

Welcome. It’s so nice to meet you, I’m Franci.

So glad you’ve landed on this friendly and encouraging corner of the internet. Here you will find unique weekly posts with original photos focused on people, books, food, faith, and travel. You will rarely hear the word ‘perfect’ here. I’m a broken person, saved by Jesus, who will be forever thankful for this matchless gift.

By nature, I’m a listener. I want to get to know you. I desire to have a community that is authentic and helpful for our everyday. I strive to share openly and in turn, I desire for you to do the same, the comment section is quietly waiting for you. I have so many ideas and things I want to pass on. I come with experience, weakness, heartache, love, loss, and wisdom, but it’s never from an “I know it all” standpoint. I’m a learner and love finding new things to improve my life. One of my greatest joys is meeting new people and learning about them.

I come from a long line of thrift seekers and I would rather check out a book from the library than buy one. Giving my kids new experiences in our city or in new destinations is something I value over outfitting them with the latest brands. I cherish time around a table with friends and family feasting on delicious food. A heart-to-heart conversation with a friend is more precious than anything money can buy.

The things we experience are valuable, they matter, and they help shape us. I’m always looking for new risks to take, new recipes to try, and new styles to embrace. I look forward to sharing with you.

Just as the title says, I desire to explore and thrive in the big adventures of life and in the plain quiet moments of the everyday.

If you’re just getting started here. I think this is a good place to start.

This post explains some of the reasons why I blog.

I also have an ETSY shop of unique and vintage items. I’d love for you to stop by.
