Let’s Pretend We’re at a Tea Party

A table set for a fancy tea party. White table cloth, China plates, white cloth napkins, a tea pot, tiny sandwiches, scones and cream and sugar set.

One of my yearly goals is to host a ladies’ tea party. April is the best time to host with our dogwood tree in bloom and tulips that are just popping open. I had to cancel this year due to social distancing, so why not pretend we’re at tea together? Sit down, pour yourself some hot tea (in a cup and saucer if you’d like) and let’s chat!

Hi! I really miss seeing your face in person. I’m doing okay in Coronaville. How about you? I teeter between feeling like I can totally handle this situation to needing to escape the house as soon as Brent comes home from work (which means he walks from our bedroom into the kitchen). So you know, balance.

I can’t wait to share some fun and interesting finds I’ve come across and would love to hear about yours in the comments. Let’s get started.

I had a friend that moved to a new city and didn’t know anyone, so she said for her first couple of months her best friends were the characters on Friday Night Lights. Anyone else feel like a T.V. character has become your best friend?

We made the famous Korean whipped coffee! It was nice to try something new. Brent was not a fan; too sweet.

The best scones for a tea party!

At Home Edition with Jimmy Fallon, full of laughs.

I had fun clicking through some exhibits at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain.

Who else is watching Making the Cut?

We made this new dinner recipe recently. It was a winner!

These have been making me smile.

Brent and I watched Knives Out and both liked it.

I enjoyed this podcast on a recent walk. It covers self-care ideas during this pandemic for moms in every stage of life. I think you’ll love it!

Three cheers for a tiny spatula in the kitchen! No more wasted peanut butter at the bottom of the jar.

This worship song is helping me get through.

Moods of quarantine, made me laugh out loud.

We read this book together as a family. Just right for a time like this.

A friend taught me this hair trick for keeping your hair neat while wearing it down.

Isn’t this a cute swimsuit? I like this one too.

I’ve opened a new Pinterest account. I’d love for you to follow along.

Take a stroll through this beautiful park in Holland.

I hope you’ve had a good time at our tea party! Thanks for taking a break from your day to spend time with me.

I enjoy it so much!! Last year was my first year to do it, such a highlight of my year. I know you recently had an epic tea party of your own. I hope you have a wonderful day, Susie!
