Wanna Chat Over Coffee?

Bright pink magnolia tulip tree bloom with branches and manicured bushes in background.

How are you? I’d love to know.

I’ve been a little scattered the past couple of weeks. At the beginning of March, a tornado hit Nashville in the middle of the night. Thankfully we were not affected but other areas of Nashville saw destruction and loss of life. Also, the first confirmed case of the coronavirus hit Tennessee. Needless to say, it’s been a crazy couple of weeks.

Enough bad news, now let’s get to chatting. Here are some things I’ve been wanting to share.

Did anyone see Hair Love? So sweet. It won an Oscar for Best Animated Short.

I thought this was a funny article about the difference between haha and hehe.

Who’s watched this Mary Berry cooking show? I’m a huge fan of The Great British Baking Show so when I found this show it made me so happy.

I’ve wanted to share this family’s story for a while but some things are too painful and filled with too much heartache to share while they are happening. I would encourage you to watch this trailer and follow Pray for Caleb on Facebook to read his journey and see current updates. I’ve been so encouraged by this family’s faith. This story hits a little closer to my heart since I went to high school with Caleb’s mom, Emily.

This is a fun addition to your kid’s school lunch. Transforms a boring boiled egg into a cute rabbit face.

StoryBots is a popular show for kids that is also educational.

I recently bought new jeans similar to these. Have you tried the slim wide-leg style yet? I like it.

Who wants a super simple St. Patrick’s Day craft to do with your kids? I got ya covered.

One of my friends, Leslie, wrote this great open letter to the parents of middle school and high school-aged kids at her church. So much wise, Godly information.

I hope you laughed a little and maybe even cried, but most of all I hope you feel a little less alone in the world. I’d love to connect with you and get to know you more. Please share something in the comments you’ve found interesting lately.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Those jeans are really cute! I love Old Navy. I feel so unsettled with all the things happening now. Thanks for blogging. I always love reading what you write.

Thanks, Anna. I miss living near you. During these crazy times at least we could see each other passing by on walks. It’s funny how now I feel like I have no place to wear my new jeans. Thanks for your encouragement about blogging. It means a lot to me. Love you!
