Sunny September Chat

Shades of pink and orange zinnias in a tiny bouquet.
Zinnias from my cut flower garden.

What are you up to this weekend? We try to work on a project around the house during Labor Day weekend. We’ll be upgrading our interior door knobs and hopefully have time for a few other projects.

Here are a few things I’ve been wanting to share.

Planning to take a birthday card to a party, why not bring a jumbo one?

Bored kids might enjoy this lego project. I know I would.

Prepare yourself for fall.

I’m into two YouTubers lately. They’re very different but both are pretty simple which I adore. One is a Japanese mom living in Canada. She posts videos of her weekly cooking. The other is Scottish but lives in Denmark. She gives tips on cleaning and organizing.

I’m trying this nail color for fall.

I enjoy watching Shawn the Sheep on Saturday mornings but my ultimate favorite is this.

When you were back to school shopping did you buy yourself a school supply? This was mine. 🙂

I’m excited about the mums I planted in my yard last year. I’m hopeful they’ll bring me lots of fall blooms.

I’m crazy about these fall shoes.

Some ways to treat yo-self at home.

This is a powerful song about prayer.

I picked this book based on its cover and was surprised by how much I liked it.

On Labor Day I’m planning to make this easy dessert.

I’ve been going to the movies a lot lately. I guess I’m making up for all the time I lost during the pandemic. Have you seen Where the Crawdad Sings or Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris? I felt both were worthy of cinema tickets.

What’s your go-to fall drink?

I read this book months ago and still think about it often. He practices Sabbath and only has three outfits per season!

Have a fun-filled Labor Day weekend!
