Ready to chat? I’m drinking a Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee, what are you having?

a hedge or bush of little white flowers with green leaves all around
August blooms for you to enjoy. Does anyone know the name of this flower?

I love talking about things I’ve discovered that enhance my life. Don’t let this post be one-sided, I’d love to hear about your fun new finds, as well. Plus, one of my favorite things is learning about people–that’s you! Take a minute to leave a little bit about yourself below in the comments.

I spent the summer taking a break from blogging and scrolling social media. The break was really good for me. Any of you take some sort of break?

Y’all, I got crazy bad poison ivy for the first time this summer. Horrible! It just kept spreading and spreading. What’s your poison ivy cure? I bought this special soap which seems to help. It removes the poison ivy oil from your skin so you’re not constantly spreading it. I welcome all the tips!

The Greatest Love, a Korean Drama, is one of the best shows I’ve watched in a while. If you’ve never tried a Korean Drama, clear your schedule because you’ll want to binge-watch this one.

I’ve been on the hunt for just the right kitchen canisters for a long time. I wanted good design, simple, clear, big enough to scoop a measuring cup full of flour out of the top, hold a 5 lb bag of flour (which the big one does), a proper seal, and a good price. A girl can have it all, right? I found all of the above in this set of OXO canisters at Costco. Also, here on Amazon although a bit higher-priced.

I’m reading aloud to the boys The Land of Stories recommended by our cousin, Fenley. Adventure, fairy-tales, humor, danger, modern-day life and imaginative kingdoms, it’s all present in this sweet chapter book for kids.

Made these kebobs for dinner. Best if marinated the night before. We don’t have a grill so I broiled them in the oven. Winner, winner, kebob dinner!

My Greener Tomorrow is a website created by my friend Suzanne. She and her family are on a mission to become zero waste in 10 years. I found this article helpful in how to start small but still make a difference to the environment.

This song makes me laugh so hard! I printed out the lyrics so we can learn the words. We love it!

I started Grief Share, a grief recovery support group, to help me cope with the loss on my dad and other family members. It meets weekly with others who have lost people they love. We watch a video series from professional grief experts that hold Christian perspective, discuss our loss and feelings in a safe environment.

If you’ve lost someone you love, family or friend, I encourage you to attend. I’m so glad I joined. Churches mostly host it and it’s free of charge. Find a group here.

I CAN NOT wait to watch this movie. Has anyone seen it?

Last but not least, I recently made cold brew coffee for the first time. So easy and tasty. Have you made it?

Oh yes, the iced coffee is addictive is it not? Especially with some fresh ground Peet’s beans….

You need to channel your Grandma Jean and she will impart all her knowledge through your thoughts. I read a review of the movie and it sounds intriguing and your experiences will enhance its meaning. Big hugs to all of you!

Reta, I miss you! Thanks for reading. I always think of Grandma Jean when I need the name of a flower or plant. I’m thankful she passed on her love of flowers to me. I still haven’t seen the movie but I hope to soon. Big hugs to YOU!
