Pull Up a Chair, Let’s Chat

Hello. Today I’m drinking half-caff coffee with cream. What are you having?

Here are a few things I’ve been saving up to share. Please contribute your own finds and current happenings in the comments. I’d love to know.

I’ve discovered this new podcast. It’s three friends talking about topics that keep women up at night. It’s like listening in on an interesting conversation! I usually always laugh out loud at some point. I think you’ll like it too.

If you need your kids to be entertained for a few minutes use Dude Perfect. It’s crazy guys performing trick shots and stunts. Don’t worry–it’s clean and funny.

Are you making anything special for Thanksgiving? My sister-in-law, Meagan, found a recipe for Cinnamon Bun Pecan Pie a few years back. It was a total hit.

We planted tulip bulbs a few weekends ago. I can’t wait to see them come up in the spring.

Is the cold air getting to you? Check out these plush fleece winter hoods. They can be paired with any coat! So many colors and designs.

When Grant was a baby I signed up for the Baby Center weekly emails. It’s a digital parenting resource with information that matches your child’s age. I was notified recently that he has aged out and I’ll no longer be getting the emails. (Sad face)

Why not let your kids make a slice of pie out of paper!

I bought a cute shower cap (in black) and have loved it so much. Although, I think I would have liked a printed one even more.

This worship song has been on repeat.

When I was in grad school my friend, Gwen, would sprinkle cinnamon over the dry ground coffee grounds before turning on the coffee pot. It made the coffee have such a nice flavor. When I make a pour-over I sometimes add cinnamon to the grounds. An easy little treat.

This hair tutorial has some super easy styles that take one minute.

A beautiful film titled Dinnertime tracks the last meal of the day for five different families in Los Angeles. (Our friends Mary and Jack and their daughters are in it!)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks Dede. I found out recently you are a wedding planner. What a fun job! You seem like such a good fit for that career. Also, I listened to the recent Midlife Matters Podcast episode where you were the guest. You did a great job! Thank you for sharing and helping other women.
