Have a Seat, I Can’t Wait to Chat

pink flowers arching over an entrance gate in Thailand.

I just returned from a trip to Thailand to visit my twin sister and her family. We had a wonderful time connecting and I got lots of time with her new baby girl. You can see pictures on my Instagram account. What have you been up to lately?

Here is a list of things I find interesting or helpful or simply fun. I hope you enjoy!

Has anyone watched Pasta Grannies? So interesting to watch pasta being made by grandmothers that have literally made it their entire adult lives. I love that the methods and recipes are preserved for future generations. One of my goals is to make pasta from scratch.

I started using this natural deodorant. I like it. It has a nice vanilla smell and most importantly keeps underarm odor at bay.

I’ve enjoyed this show about houses in Ireland. I especially liked Episode 5.

Once a week before school Dean and I read the comics together. Some of my favorites are Dilbert, Baby Blues, Family Circus, and Zits. What’s your favorite comic strip?

I listened to this podcast about when to have “The Talk” with your kids. If you listen I’d love to hear your thoughts.

My sister suggested Art for Kids Hub on Youtube for those rainy days when your kids need to be entertained. I thought the eggs and bacon would be fun to draw.

Moms, grab the kleenex after you hear this song.

If you are in Oklahoma, Stillwater, Oklahoma to be specific you have to order a baked good from Stillwater Sweets Bakery! Y’all her stuff is so good. Trust me. She makes wedding cakes, special occasion cakes and treats and will have a Valentine’s menu out soon.

This clip about Kobe Bryant is so sweet.

I really like Other Goose. It’s a homeschooling plan for the early years, but even if you don’t homeschool their Instagram account is full of simple and helpful tips about parenting and has a fresh outlook on learning.

Will you be watching the Superbowl? It’s such an enjoyable evening and honestly, I watch for the commercials.

Have a fantastic weekend!

I loved watching the grandmas make pasta. Some of them are in their 90’s and beyond. That song hits me right in the heart. I hope y’all are well.
