A Summer Weekend in Providence, Rhode Island

Last summer we wanted to get away for a little weekend trip for our anniversary. We looked at flights from Nashville to places such as Savannah, New Orleans, and Charleston but the flights were more pricy than we were wanting to pay. After further searching, Brent found the explore feature on Kayak, which lets you find flights anywhere from your city. He quickly located a super cheap round trip flight to Providence, Rhode Island. We booked it!

Cabin Camping at Big Ridge State Park in Tennessee

Every Memorial Day weekend we try to go camping as a family; just the four of us. It’s a sweet get-away with little distractions and an opportunity for us to reconnect after a busy year of school, work, and this year quarantine.

A Trip to Walden Pumpkin Farm

A fall tradition of ours is to visit a pumpkin farm. Who doesn’t love farm animals, pumpkins galore, and running through a hay maze? At times it’s been difficult to find one that is reasonably priced and not too far from home.

Walden Farm, a local family-owned farm, meets all the above requirements.
