I’m outside today showing you the first flowers to bloom in our yard and I show the bridge my boys built during COVID.

Daffodils are so pretty and easy to grow plus they come back every year!
I planted freesias for the first time this year. I want to have a cut flower garden this summer. I bought a mix of freesia bulbs at COSTCO of blue, red, and yellow.
(more…)Throughout the years I’ve created a Valentine card for our family. We usually discuss ideas as a family and then I get to work gathering or taking the photos we need. I then work to create the design in Photoshop. It’s a fun project and it’s a way to let friends and family know we love them. We don’t always print and mail them, it depends on the year. Although most people send a Christmas or New Year’s card I’ve grown fond of our Valentine greeting.

Some of you may remember that my brother and sister-in-law, Trevor and Elizabeth, built a concrete passive solar home. They have been putting the finishing touches on it. Almost everything has been completed except a few small things inside and the insulating and landscaping of the exterior.
