Book Picks By 7-Year-Old Boys

Books that 7-year-old boy likes.

My boys both enjoy reading. When my oldest, Grant, was 7 years old he wrote out a list of his favorite books at the time. When our youngest, Dean, turned 7 recently we created a list of his current favorites. Find out what they picked…

DC Super-Pets! Series – They are the pets of batman, Aquaman, etc. and they have powers. I like these because at the front it shows you the characters. – Grant

Peanuts Comic Collection – I like this book because it is funny! – Grant

Calvin and Hobbes Comic Collection – This one is funny, too! – Grant

Ordinary People Change the World Series – It’s so AWESOME! – Grant

The Littles Series – The Littles are cool because they use human things for themselves. – Grant

Robot Racers Series – They have cool gadgets and stuff in their robot racers. – Grant

Who Is Series – I liked it because it had cool facts about video games. – Dean

National Geographic Kids Ultimate Book – It has cool facts. – Dean

National Geographic Kids Almanac – It has a cool snake, Brazilian Rainbow Boa. (We have the 2015 edition.) – Dean

Magic Tree House Series – It’s cool to go in the magic treehouse and go somewhere new always. – Dean

Magic Tree House Fact Tracker – It tells you facts about the places they (Jack and Annie from Magic Treehouse) go. – Dean

Skippyjon Jones – They are funny. I like the songs. – Dean

Mercy Watson – It was just funny because there is a pig in it named Mercy Watson. – Dean

Ready, Freddy! – Freddie is scared but I can’t tell you why or it will ruin the story. – Dean

Geronimo Stilton Series – I like Gernomo because they always do something adventurous. – Dean

I Survived Series – I like these books because they always survive and it’s cool. – Dean (I, Franci, thought these were going to be too scary but he has done fine with them. He says since the people survive it’s not that scary to him.)

The Berenstain Bears – They get into trouble and they eat weird food, honeycomb, and salmon. – Dean

If you purchase from a link on this blog a small percentage of the sale may come back to me. You are never charged more for the product. It’s a way to keep this site going and I’m very selective about the things I list. It’s mostly things we already own and love or things I think you would enjoy. Thank you for reading!
