Our Summer Traditions: Unrushed and Sun-kissed

The changing of seasons is always a delight. I love the transition into summer. The sound of an ice cream truck in the distance, the trees covered in bright green leaves and the warmth of the sun felt instantly on your skin as you step outside — summer has arrived in all its glory.

My heart is so saddened by discrimination and I’m glad it’s currently a national conversation, though I wish it didn’t take death and injustice to bring about change.

Cabin Camping at Big Ridge State Park in Tennessee

Every Memorial Day weekend we try to go camping as a family; just the four of us. It’s a sweet get-away with little distractions and an opportunity for us to reconnect after a busy year of school, work, and this year quarantine.
